Comments feature on Webflow's designer
Webflow encourages collaboration with its newest feature.
  • Design your website as a team with Webflow’s new comments feature
  • Currently available for Workspace members and guests

Webflow has launched a new commenting feature for its website builder, meaning you can share and act on team feedback when editing your website. The journey of building a website can become a collaborative process, saving you time and energy by spreading the workload.

Luckily, every plan is given access to Webflow’s Starter Workspace, which includes this new feature – even Webflow’s free website builder plan!

The feature is currently available for Workspace members and guests. For example, a freelancer hired by your business can leave comments if granted access. There are plans to roll the feature out beyond Workspace members in the future, allowing website owners to invite external stakeholders to share their thoughts. Webflow doesn’t share a date on when this will be available.

Creating Comments

To start using Webflow’s newest features, we simply needed to find the speech button in the top left corner of the header to turn on commenting mode. Once selected, we could then click on the desired element or section of the page to leave a comment. Easy!

Every comment is logged in the sidebar so team members can keep track of feedback and suggestions. You can even click on a comment to be directed to that area of the website.

The new feature is a great way to improve communication and collaboration between those working on your website – whether you’re leaving a comment on someone’s copy, or requesting a test on certain page elements. All design thoughts can be kept in one place thanks to Webflow’s designer comments.
